Hello
My personal goal is to create things that make the world better and more beautiful.
I am a driven and self-directed individual who wants to continuously improve my understanding of the world and make it a better place. When faced with a problem I dive in to define and understand the true issue and the right solution. I work well leading teams and tackling projects individually.

I am currently a Senior Hardware Engineer at Rigado, an enterprise IoT gateway provider, working on the next generation of commercial low-power networks. I have 9 years of experience designing embedded devices, ranging from low power sensors and wireless modules to embedded Linux gateways. I am passionate about close relationships between designers and the manufacturing process. I have handled all aspects of electronics design ranging from high level architecture, schematic capture, PCB layout, mechanical design mock-ups, prototype bring-up, radio and antenna tuning, firmware, embedded Linux, factory test design, factory support, and field failure analysis. I quickly pick up new knowledge and skills as needed for projects. My current proficiencies include Altium Designer, Solidworks, SVN, GIT, Yocto Linux, embedded C, .NET/C#, and Python. I am equally comfortable working in Windows and Linux environments.
I graduated from Western Washington University in June of 2015 with a degree in Electronics Engineering Technology. While at Western, I was the Electronics Design Lead for the WWU Formula SAE team where I designed a high voltage 70KW BLDC electric vehicle powertrain, including a custom 300V lithium polymer battery pack. This work formed the basis for several university EV projects that continued after I graduated. My Senior capstone project was an RFID based smart first-aid kit to assist with inventory management and workplace compliance.
